Blender 5.2 LTS · greggperkins.org/fmx320/blender/

Open BlenderSoundstage.blend. All textures are packed; nothing external is
needed. Save a copy into your course folder before you change anything.

WHAT IS IN HERE
Armature 65 bones, root bone at the origin named 'root'
SuperHero_Male 7,281 verts - ALREADY BOUND to the armature
Eyes, Eyebrows separate meshes, also already bound
  Stage_Floor 20 x 20 m
  Stage_Walls black walls, 8 m tall
  Light_Truss overhead grid at 6.6 m
  Light_Fixtures three fixture bodies
  L_Key / L_Fill / L_Back three area lights, already aimed
  Apple_Boxes two, stage left
Camera already framed on the character

START HERE
The character is ALREADY RIGGED AND BOUND. You do NOT need to run
  "With Automatic Weights" on it.
    1. Click the character
    2. Ctrl+Tab -> Pose Mode
    3. Click a bone and rotate it with R
    4. Alt+R resets a bone; A then Alt+R resets everything
Every mesh has an Armature modifier and 65 vertex groups, zero
  unweighted vertices.

Numpad 0 looks through the camera. Z cycles viewport shading -
Rendered shows the stage lighting properly.

WHICH DAYS USE IT
Day 03 Making it read, and getting it in - the set, exported to Unreal
Day 04 A rig that survives the trip - meet the rig, pose it, read its weights
Day 05 Making it move - the walk cycle, on this rig
Day 06 Into the engine - the character and its clip, into Unreal

SCALE
  Metric, 1 unit = 1 metre. Character is 1.82 m. Walls 8 m. Do not rescale.

EXPORT TO UNREAL
Use glTF, NOT FBX, for the rigged character. Rigged FBX from Blender
has a known units/scaling bug that breaks retargeting in Unreal.
    File > Export > glTF 2.0
Bone names already match Unreal's skeleton (pelvis, spine_01,
  clavicle_l, upperarm_l, thigh_l, calf_l, foot_l, ball_l).
Note: the head bone is capitalised 'Head'; Unreal expects 'head'.
